7 Powerful Lessons I’ve Learned From Being A Spiritual Teacher (#5 Is Important For Us All)

When I decided to become an “energy healer” I set out to study Reiki, emotions, past lives, soul purposes, Tarot and nutrition.

7 Powerful Lessons I’ve Learned From Being A Spiritual Teacher (#5 Is Important For Us All)

I took many courses in an attempt to help as many people as I could through healing and my knowledge on a wide array of subjects. That was the plan. After receiving my first certification (the Emotion Code), I threw myself into the field, terrified but ready to help the world with its emotional difficulties. It started off a little rocky but I got the hang of it. Sessions were great. I had made the career change successfully.

Then something I wasn’t expecting happened. I came to realize that with each passing session, I felt happier, uplifted and healthier. I was beginning to change.

These amazing people were teaching me about life, fear, health, love, compassion and the human experience.

They’ve profoundly influenced my life and I want to share a few of my favorite lessons with you. We’re all facing a personal challenge at any given time. If you’re feeling down today, don’t worry about it. We all have days like that. But tomorrow, get up, dust yourself off and move forward. Aristotle said, “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” You really are much greater than you imagine. Every single organ, gland, cell, and muscle is connected to your spiritual, emotional, etheric and mental body. That means that when you’re having a stomach ache, it may not just be the food you ate for dinner. Let’s look at a stomach ache from an emotional perspective. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the stomach produces emotions such as anxiety, nervousness and worry. From a mental perspective, these feelings may come from thoughts of feeling “stuck” and unable to move forward. As a spiritual issue, the person may feel like they are unable to live their life’s purpose. From an etheric perspective, the person may be energetically “corded” or unhealthy people or situations.

These “cords” keep them feeling “tied down.” By understanding the “consciousness” of the many body parts, you can get a greater understanding of health issues. It is not necessary to feel what your friend is going through in order for you to help her. In fact, this tendency can open you up to absorbing heavy emotions, hooks, chords and other negative energies from them. You’ll know this happens when you leave the conversation feeling very drained and sometimes depressed. Feeling a person’s pain for them also obscures your view as a third party. When you become deeply entrenched in their low emotional state, it becomes harder to dispense clear, sound advice. If you are not happy, healthy and taken care of, how can you serve anyone? I know so many practitioners, myself included, who put everyone else’s needs before their own.

They’re drained, overworked and stressed.

They go exceptionally long periods without self-care and some even begin resenting those they serve. We all forget the “self-love” every now and then, but trust me, if you don’t make yourself a priority, no one else will. Nor should they. You are your own responsibility. So go for walks, spend some time alone, stretch, take your vitamins, eat well, sleep enough and breathe! There isn’t anything wrong with this, either. I’ve found that some people are addicted to pain or disease. Some have embedded beliefs that they need to be sick in order to get attention or they refuse to let a trauma go that is energetically impairing their body’s natural ability to heal. If you know a person like this, remember, it is their journey. Allow them to live it.

The most you can do for them is show them unconditional love and acceptance. That’s it. Fear is your ego’s way of protecting you from change. When you’re about to make a huge decision, you will be stepping out of your comfort zone. When you step out of the norm, you attract new results into your life. Because your ego wants to keep you “safe” it’ll make you feel unreasonably afraid to commit to change. For example, you commit to exercising five days a week starting tomorrow. Your ego is going to give you a thousand reasons why it isn’t a good idea because it’s trying it’s best to keep you generating the same results by sticking within your routine. This fear is normal. It can’t be healed. If you’re terrified of making a huge decision, it’s a good indication that you’re on the right path.

The more often you act against your ego’s desire to keep you still, the quieter that voice of fear becomes. Someone told me once, that every session is for the practitioner as much as it is for the client. Based on the law of attraction, you cannot manifest someone into your reality who isn’t an energetic match for you. That said, if you have a friend who is having major relationship difficulties and she’s coming to you for advice, pay attention to the words of wisdom that you find yourself saying. How could you take your own advice? What relationships are you having issues with? Do you ever feel like you’re looking everywhere for the answers? Do you feel anxious and uncertain when you think about what you’re meant to do in this world? Do you wish someone could teach you HOW to discover your soul purpose for yourself? I’ve helped over 2.5 million spiritual seekers develop their intuition and discover their soul purpose.
