And share them, however you will, without fear.” Anna Hughes is a master healer and spiritual teacher who amongst other things, works as a channel, enabling the energy of Light Being The Nazareine to communicate His messages with all those willing and open to listening. Controversy surrounds the concept; here Anna shares some of her feelings on their work together and her vision for a better future. Part of the work you do includes channelling The Nazareine. Can you explain who this Being is and what exactly is channelling? The Nazareine is a Being of Light. I experience and communicate him as the energy of Unconditional Compassionate Love. Channelling is when this Consciousness expresses through me and as I have no memory of what is said, it gives clients the opportunity to ask questions and gain answers that are totally private. Each conversation is recorded so the client can listen to it again as often as they need. Each time they listen, they will hear something new, or expressed differently. To have clarity and answers, to know that each one is not walking their life journey alone makes a huge difference in many people’s lives. When did you first become a channel for The Nazareine, how did it happen and how did you realize what it was that was happening to you? I have been channelling for nearly 30 years although without giving the energy a name.
The name of The Nazareine came through to me in a meditation in 2007. Pretty much anyone who comes in contact with this form of energy loves it, including myself. What does it feel like when you are channelling? I go deep into an inner space, and allow things to take their natural course. Spirit comes through and gives information, teaches whoever answers an inner call to be present. Usually The Nazareine will speak for a few minutes and then open the floor to questions. If it’s a group situation, then we ask for questions to be general ones about life. When people are in private sessions then obviously they can receive answers on whatever they like, general life, work, relationships, their work situation or what to do about corporate decisions. When you are channelling the Nazarine, your voice noticeably changes. Are you aware of this happening and how do you feel when you listen back on the recording? I am told that there are many changes in addition to my voice. My body language and facial expressions also change. When I listen back to recordings my first impression is the amount of love that comes through. A few weeks ago for the first time we videoed me channelling him, when I watched that afterwards I was struck by the depth of love and compassion, how much kindness that came through. He’s also quite funny at times, encouraging us to take ourselves less seriously. Audiences often laugh a lot at group situations, through this perspectives shift and people find this to be liberating too. After each group session the love in the room is so tangible you can almost touch it with your hand. People often stay on afterwards, to discuss what was said, what it meant to them; how they will take it forward, just to be together in this sort of community. It’s hard to leave! Does this work have a basis in any particular spiritual doctrine or religion? For me, spirituality can take many different forms: it’s about expression of our inner selves, about inspiration, freedom, acceptance, truth, harmony, love, tolerance, sharing, clarity, strength and all the other values that we want to have more rather than less of in our lives. At the same time it’s about all of us being human, together. Each of us can express our own inner spirit in any form we choose, through dance, art, song, teaching, healing, gardening, cooking, design, being a parent or through our work, whatever that feels right to you in any moment and brings you and others joy.
The Nazareine gives teachings and tools on how to achieve this, how people can bring through their visions, deal with their challenges, gives them a wider view of a bigger picture and are able to make more-informed decisions to move on, move through, let go, achieve, whatever they need. Above all channelling The Nazareine is about assisting people to come together and celebrate themselves, life and each other’s differences. Life is intended to be joyful, we spend a lot of our lives at work and we need to be fulfilled in this area too. Relationships can be the most challenging things in people’s lives, because they reflect ourselves, and how we relate is how our children will relate in their lives too and so on and so forth. I don’t consider myself to be particularly spiritual, religious or anything at all. In fact, I don’t care at all for doctrine, there’s a very fine line between that and dogma, and the need to convert people in terms of right and wrong, good and bad, light and dark! Do you think you are the only channel for The Nazareine and why do you think he chose you specifically? It is only me because of how my energy body is calibrated. I’m one of a kind, just like everyone else! I never thought to ask him why I am his channel, for me it’s always been a simple acceptance. I feel immensely privileged by this because of the results I see from the work around me. I work internationally and each culture is different, but the response is the same. People want to come home to themselves, to feel peace, to feel heard, valued, love and supported.
They want to know what’s happening in their lives, how to heal conflict, how to move on, how to achieve, how to guide their children to make the best lives for themselves, how to live in love and community, in harmony with nature, how to stay well.
These values are universal. To be welcomed the way I am in each community I travel to, see people’s response to the work we essentially do together is heart-warming for me, something that I always cherish and never take for granted. Is he with you all the time, and who is it that controls when he comes through with a message for you to convey to others? He’s with me all the time – I just have to tune in and ask questions, either in meditation or just by sitting still. No-one controls anything, it’s all done by invitation and acceptance (or not.) Each person has their own inner wisdom, intuition or higher self. To access it though you have to slow down, rushing around with your nose in technology, your to-do lists running in your mind all the time will not help you connect to your inner being. You need to slow down, give yourself some space, see yourself in your own light and be able to breathe to receive your own messages. That’s 5% of it.
The remaining 95% is to know that your own answers are accurate. That’s where speaking with The Nazareine is effective too, in addition to answering questions, he also confirms what people already know.
Then, stress dies down, they remain peaceful inside because their inner vision has been validated, and they can then just get on with it. How else do you use your channelling abilities to benefit others? People often need clarity on what’s happening in their lives, these ones receive answers; and some also need strategy to change life or work situations/challenges. Others come because they need healing, either for physical or emotional afflictions. Still others come because they love the energy and want to grow in that. We work a lot with death as well, both for people who are destined to cross over as well as for their families. Sometimes I bring messages through for friends and relatives. Speaking with The Nazareine or working through the exercises with me gives many people a lot of comfort, most of all, the ability to move on, with lovely memories in their hearts. I strategise a lot for divorce and employment cases, many of these are emotionally violent because energy is high and hurt people hurt people. A lot of these are karmic so we have to go right back, not to any specific life, to the themes in those soul journeys that have caused the this-life situation, harmonise them and see where the energy falls after that for the next step. Many of my clients have big corporate jobs, huge responsibilities and have to make decisions that affect hundreds, sometimes thousands of people.
They speak with The Nazareine to know or confirm which way to take their businesses, how to resolve boardroom conflict, that sort of thing. For everyone who comes, though, I ask for a commitment to their healing or their growth, it’s not just a one-off or quick fix.
They are given life-affirming, life-and-career-changing strategies that are deeply connected with their soul journeys, spiritual contracts with both themselves and other people, their karma and the creative process, all done in the energy of love. In energy work, if you don’t commit to it like everything else the shift will not be permanent. Do you charge for these channelling sessions and, as the message is coming from The Nazareine and not from you, do you feel lit is moral for you to profit from his messages or to charge others to listen to him speak? The key thing here is about exchange of value. I’m running a practice to enrich my clients’ lives and businesses and my priority has always been to contribute much more to bring more value, not for myself, but for my clients. I don’t see this as profit rather, as continual re-investment to further expand the distribution of the work. Channelling is a very controversial subject as there is no real way of proving or disproving the authenticity of the messages or the concept as a whole. What would you say to skeptics or non-believers? Everyone has their own inner knowing, so don’t be afraid to follow your heart and you will never lose your way. Choose too, to live in the spirit of acceptance, harmony and harmlessness with all-that-is, by this I mean the nature of life around you, and this will be the essence of your life too. Life has to be right – for you. Feel it to know it and then just get on with it. As long as you are living your own authentic life, that’s the only thing that matters. Can you relate to people feeling doubt about the subject of channelling, and did you ever struggle to accept what you were experiencing yourself? I feel we don’t have to agree in order to respect each other’s journey. For me that’s harmony and if more people were to live this too, we’d likely have less conflict around us.I’ve never struggled with this part of my life experience. It’s always felt like a natural part of me. Take what’s right for you, and run with it. You’ll never regret this. It’s about what you put in, not what you take out. When you listen to these messages, you need to listen with your heart.
Then you will feel whether they are true or not, for you. That’s wisdom, defined at many different levels and you become the leader of your life, rather than the other way around.
