Because Who Is Perfect?
This is guaranteed to open your mind to beauty and appreciating every person for exactly who they are.In today’s society so much focus is put on beauty, perfection and appearance.
. Unfortunately that focus isn’t perceived in a light that accepts people for exactly who they are, instead the societal idea of beauty is more based around an almost unattainable appearance for most people. We currently don’t accept people’s differences, nor do we appreciate them for exactly who they are. Personally I feel this trend is changing a lot as more people awaken to that reality, it is still the case that many men and women struggle greatly with their appearance due to what society and media pushes as “what we have to look like.” This video takes an interesting approach to the whole topic as it goes even deeper into the subject. According to the makers of the film: “Between the perfect mannequins, there will be figures with scoliosis or brittle bone disease modelling the latest fashions. One will have shortened limbs; the other a malformed spine.
The campaign has been devised for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities by Pro Infirmis, an organisation for the disabled. Entitled “Because who is perfect? Get closer.”, it is designed to provoke reflection on the acceptance of people with disabilities. Director Alain Gsponer has captured the campaign as a short film.” This is a powerful video worth sharing with your friends and family as there are so many of us who struggle with our appearance and perfection. This helps us to realize how warped the idea of beauty and perfection is and ultimately pushes us to appreciate every part of ourselves and other people as we are all exactly how we need to be! No matter who you see today, see them for who they are! Source http://www.whydontyoutrythis.com http://www.youtube.com/user/ProInfirmisCH?feature=watch .
