Do We Have Too Many Possessions?

. Before having a look at the video, I think this is so true and really something that we all need to realize and observe in our own lives.

The way we operate with our possessions is actually quite interesting because realistically, with everything that is already available and produced, we could easily share it and use it when we need it with very little interference with one another. Instead we all need to have our own, but at the same time we need to have so much stuff that it becomes useless to us very quickly. Our way of being with produced goods is very much built off of individuality and separation versus cooperation.

The saying goes “One man’s junk is another’s treasure.” This can be very true, but often times it just becomes the treasure of a garbage dump or we try so hard to sell it online or at garage sales etc.

The truth is, we could all just be sharing. If we don’t need something anymore why do we always need money for it in the end? Wouldn’t it be better to just have it in use by others instead of holding out until we get what we want for it? This is a great observation in seeing the monetary attachment we have towards our possessions even though we never intend to use them. Next time that pops up in your life, feel it out for yourself, you may be surprised to see how much the mind holds on to needing something for your old stuff. Don’t get me wrong, if you want to sell something that is more than fine and there is no judgement towards that, but either way observe the attachment 🙂 Enjoy the video! .
