Full Moon In Virgo: Practical Action

We are having a Full Moon in Virgo on March 9th/10th, depending on your location. This is the peak of the Lunar cycle that began with a New Moon in Pisces on February 23rd.

Full Moon In Virgo: Practical Action

The energies of a Full Moon are strongest in the days surrounding it yet its astrological configurations still play a part over the following two weeks. You may also start to see its themes slowly build up after the New Moon prior to it. Full Moons are a period in which we feel a push-pull between two opposing signs, in this case being the Moon in Virgo and the Sun in Pisces. It can play out as either a conflict, an integration, or some sort of dynamic playing out between the energies of both signs.

The Moon reflects the expression of feeling and emotion while the Sun reflects the expression of ego and conscious self. We may feel this opposition happening individually within us and/or we can also experience it play out around us with some people (or circumstances) expressing the Virgo side and others expressing the Pisces side. In some cases, Full Moons can also reflect/trigger some sort of change or release. Virgo is an Earth sign ruled by Mercury. It is associated with tasks, duty, service, productivity, practicality, organizing, analyzing, perfection, physical health, cleanliness, sustainability, and purity. It is systematic, detailed, discerning, discriminating, diligent, and efficient. Virgo corresponds with problem solving, adjusting to changing conditions, and coming up with solutions. Negatively, Virgo energy can be cynical, overly critical, fussy, high strung, and too much in the head. Pisces is a Water sign linked to Neptune and traditionally ruled by Jupiter. It is associated with sensitivity, compassion, empathy, spirituality, creativity, art, inspiration, dreams, imagination, oneness, and idealism. Pisces can be psychic, healing, and retreating. Negatively, this sign can also be unrealistic, flaky, elusive, delusional, and deceptive. It is associated with escapism, intoxication of drugs/alcohol, as well as some fossil fuels such as oil and gas. At the time of this Full Moon, and especially in the days leading up to it, the Sun is in a conjunction with Neptune. Also in the weeks prior and up until this point, Mercury has been retrograde primarily in Pisces (but currently in Aquarius).

These factors accentuate the dreamy, mystical, flowy, hibernating, and even tiring Piscean qualities. However, this Full Moon activates a lot of Earth energy which can help to balance things out. This Full Moon is in a trine aspect to all four planets that are currently in the Earth sign of Capricorn. This helps to harmoniously combine the energies Virgo-Pisces opposition mentioned above. Capricorn adds more practicality, realism, orderliness, and productivity to this Full Moon equation and also throws in the potential of structure and ambition.

The combination of these planets reflects action that can be expansive yet calculated, cautious, focused, powerful, or regenerating. Some of this energy will also come up around the Equinox when Mars joins Jupiter which can be a period in which we may want to do things in a big way or act on aspirations.

The Ruler of Virgo, Mercury, will be in the process of transitioning out of its retrograde (which began in mid-February) during this Full Moon.

The areas of our lives that have been affected by this retrograde will start to become more clear and things will eventually fall into place more easily as we progress into the coming days and weeks. Mercury will be in Aquarius at this point and then return to Pisces a week later. Issues and perceptions associated with friends, acquaintances, groups, collective interests, ideals, spirituality, creativity, compassion, escapism, lack of boundaries, may have been some of the themes of the past month. However, the areas of life that it affected for you also depends on how it was configured to your personal astrological blueprint. In the first few days after it ends it can still feel like its retrograde, as complications, confusion, or uncertainty may occur due to Mercury’s stationary position. It’s usually best to wait until at least three days afterwards before making big decisions, finalizing agreements, signing paperwork, or anything else of that nature. Chiron is in a T-square aspect with the Lunar Nodes now and over the coming weeks. It is transitioning from being closer in proximity to the South Node towards moving closer to the North Node until they conjoin in four years from now. In this moment of time during this square and halfway point between both sides of Lunar Nodes, it can be a great time to address and reflect on certain wounds, blockages, negative patterns, old behaviours, inadequacies, and other internal conflicts pertaining to our past that are getting in our way. At the same time it can be an opportunity to look towards how we can move forward with these issues in a more empowering, healing, transformative, holistic, or positively integrative way. For many people this can feel like the beginning of a turning point towards achieving greater wholeness. This is a good time to be open towards any sort of modalities, practices, information/media, people, situations, or anything else that can help to facilitate this process. What has come up for during this retrograde in recent weeks and how do you currently feel as this retrograde is beginning to conclude? What can you do to make your ideals, visions, or inspirations, a reality? Do you need to achieve a greater balance between the spiritual and physical? Is there an area of your life that needs to be more organized? How can you take a more practical and productive approach while having an ideal work-life balance? Considering the Full Moon in Virgo, Chiron square the Nodes, and the transition into the next season coming up at the Equinox, it is a good time to initiate a cleanse sometime over the next 10 days. This can be good for both physical and emotional health as well as spiritual connectivity. Practices like fasting, eating lighter, or other cleansing protocols will fit well with this energy. I also recommend E3Live or E3AFA, which is one of the most powerful superfoods and can help to achieve both Piscean and Virgoan results. It is also good to organize, clean, and rearrange your space to improve the energy flow and the way you feel. If you want to go more deeper into this, I would recommend looking into Feng Shui. If you wish to do any sort of intentional release, cleansing, or clearing, it is best to initiate after the peak of the Full Moon or as it is waning over the following two weeks.

The exact moment of the peak will be on March 9th at 5:48pm Universal Time. You can click here to see what that is in your ti.
