Mainstream Media Dishonest About What Trump’s ‘Favor’ From Ukraine President Actually Was

A number of mainstream media outlets purposefully mislead the US population about the Trump and Ukraine president phone call by choosing not to report on about 540 words from the transcript.

Mainstream Media Dishonest About What Trump’s ‘Favor’ From Ukraine President Actually Was
Why might media be purposefully misleading the public? I’ve said it before and I will say it again, if you continue to take what the mainstream media says with any seriousness you will be misled into a delusion of a world that simply is not accurate. Before we go on, note that this isn’t about whether you like Trump or not, I don’t think this is the important discussion here, the discussion is about whether or not the mainstream media ever gives us an accurate view of what’s happening in the world. As we have often stated, the mainstream media is a tool of social engineering and propaganda, it almost always has been. This doesn’t mean all media is bad, it means we must move away from media outlets with horrible track records, and start exploring new ones. I feel this story will help us see this further.

The whistleblower complaint against President Donald Trump and his conversation with the Ukraine president has been news for a few days now. This is, of course, an important story to many as with the election in the US looming, people want to look out for interference. So, the White House released the transcript of the call so people could see what happened. Now, the mainstream media is purposefully cutting out important context within the conversation so they can produce a different, and perhaps negative context about the call. Who’s directing them to do this? Who knows. Headlines all pointed to “a favor” that Trump was asking from the Ukraine President. This is of course a word that produces much curiosity in a reader. Both the New York Times and The Washington Post put sections of the call’s transcript on their front pages on Thursday. Interestingly, both the NYT and WaPo cut out what Trump said right after asking Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky for a “favor.” They instead focused right to the point where Trump brought up former Vice President Joe Biden’s son’s involvement in a company that was investigated by Ukraine. Since mainstream media won’t tell you the truth of what’s going on, have a look at page 3 of the transcript containing what Trump asked for below: I would like you to do us a favor though because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it. I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike ... I guess you have one of your wealthy people ..

The server, they say Ukraine has it.

There are a lot of things that went on, the whole situation. I think you’re surrounding yourself with some of the same people. I would like to have the attorney general call you or your people and I would like you to get to the bottom of it. As you saw yesterday, that whole nonsense ended with a very poor performance by a man named Robert Mueller, an incompetent performance, but they say a lot of it started with Ukraine. Whatever you can do, it’s very important that you do it if that’s possible. As you might expect, Zelensky told Trump that his country would cooperate with the U.S. It was after that where Trump brought up the prosecutor that Biden helped fire. Once again, I remind not to get caught up in pro or anti Trump, but to simply reflect on what you are being told by the media and whether or not it’s actually true. Ultimately, Trump is asking for Ukraine’s cooperation in the U.S’ investigation into the origins of Russiagate. A still unproven conspiracy that has divided the US public for 4 years. CNN had a clear plan in how they wanted to shape the public’s opinion of what happened. You can watch the segment here, where CNN skipped over 540 words after Trump is quoted saying “I would like you to do us a favor.” CNN then quotes the section of the transcript relating to Biden and his son. As per usual, the rest of mainstream media followed the same script as Fox News’ Shepard Smith, MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace, MSNBC’s Katy Tur, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, and “The View” all did the same.

The interesting part of this is the language used, especially by CNN, where CNN’s Pamela Brown states: “the reader and the viewer can decide for themselves here.” but then provides a completely different context so the reader or viewer doesn’t actually know what’s going on unless they go out of their way to read the entire transcript themselves. Other media followed a similar suit where The Times, Bloomberg, The Post, and NPR all did a similar tactic. Have a look at NPR below: I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation in Ukraine ..

There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that. So whatever you can do with the attorney general would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it ... it sounds horrible to me. (Emphasis added.) In the quote above you will notice ellipses after the word Ukraine in the first line. That ellipses represents over 500 words removed from the transcript that discusses the favor Trump was asking from Ukraine. Probably my favorite was the way The Los Angeles Times handled it. Their headline read “Trump asked Ukraine’s leader for a ‘favor’ — help investigating Joe Biden and a California company.” If you ever wonder why we say the media incites hate and misleads the public, this is a great example. Again, this could have been about any president or person, we don’t care, this was just an example to illustrate how social engineering is done to rip apart the unity within the masses and make people believe things that follow a narrative purposefully selected. Will the fake news watchdogs like NewsGuard call out these media organizations for this? Will Facebook give them fake news strikes and take away their reach like they do to us at Collective Evolution? Nope. Why? Because they are co-collaborators on pushing larger narratives, and we expose those narratives.
