“Mouse” Spotted On Mars By Curiosity Rover?

According to a video recently posted on YouTube, on November 1st a picture was captured by NASA’s Curiosity Rover that appears to show a mouse on the surface of Mars, close to the ridge of the 154-kilometer-wide (96 miles) Gale Crater. As IFL reports, no official announcement about the picture has been made, but Joe White, the owner of the YouTube channel ArtAlienTV, says that the creature is “plain as day,” and could be up to three feet long. As most of our readers will know, this isn’t the first time that an odd object has appeared on Mars. Ever since a supposed face was discovered on Mars decades ago in the “Cydonia” region of the planet, strange pictures have continued to surface. By the way, that face on Mars was debunked by Carl Sagan, but his colleague Dr. Brian O’Leary, former NASA astronaut and Princeton physics professor, said that Carl manipulated those images and provided false information to the public. (source) If this incident was indeed an attempt to distort information, I wonder if it was, perhaps, motivated by good intentions — if maybe humanity was not ready for certain information? At any rate, spotting a living creature on Mars isn’t so difficult to credit these days — not since NASA scientists revealed a number of alarming findings about the planet, including the fact that Mars is actually home to flowing rivers of water.

They also stressed that Mars could have had extraterrestrial life living on it in the past, and it was once a planet very much like Earth, with a giant ocean, freshwater lakes, snowcapped peaks, and more. I have to stress, there is water flowing on present day Mars, there is soil that is rich and moist, and the possibility “of life in the interior of Mars has always been very high.

There’s certainly water somewhere in the crust of Mars ... It’s very likely, I think, that there is life somewhere in the crust of Mars.” “Mars is not the dry, arid planet that we thought of in the past... (and) liquid water has been found on Mars. . . .” – James Green, NASA director of planetary sciences.

The above quotes come from a news conference held at NASA agency headquarters, where agency scientists and officials discussed new findings from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO). You can watch that full news conference HERE. It was not that long ago that, if someone believed there to be life on Mars, they would have been ignored or deemed crazy.

These days, however — after just one discovery, one announcement from NASA — it seems more likely that someone who does not believe there is life on Mars would be met with such same disdain.
