News you may have missed, including 700 Indians posing as AI

Below is a collection of articles from various sources which discuss current political narratives around protests, immigration, energy policy and technological advancements.  Such as the various socio-political and economic issues following recent protests and mass migration trends in the United States, 700 Indian developers employed to pose as artificial intelligence, the NHS sinkhole that is failing the public and claims made to push the “green transition” agenda.

Despite claims of rapid energy transition in the US, traditional energy sources like natural gas and oil still dominate. That’s because wind and solar power remain economically uncompetitive compared to fossil fuels, despite extensive government subsidies. And if you’re thinking of buying an EV, there is an article just for you.

The “Mostly Peaceful” Revolution

The Summer of Floyd introduced the phenomenon of elite-encouraged violence. The Los Angeles riots are reviving the revolting homages to Marx and socialist revolution that helped elect Donald Trump in the first place.

The term “mostly peaceful” was popularised during the 2020 protests in the US and UK, following the killing of George Floyd, to describe demonstrations that included violent incidents.  The phrase has been used again to describe recent protests in Los Angeles, with some commentators using alternative phrases such as “largely peaceful” or “overwhelmingly peaceful.”

Matt Taibbi argues that the use of such phrases is an attempt to downplay the violence and property damage that occurs during these protests, and that this approach is backfiring with moderate voters who are turned off by the radicalism and lawlessness.

Escape from LA! – New World Next Week

Last week on the New World Next Week podcast, Kames Corbett discussed the serial killings that continue in Syria as the world stops pretending to care; it’s “Escape From LA” time as the controlled demolition of America continues apace; and, the Bilderbergers descend on Sweden for their annual shindig.

How Mass Migration into the US and Canada Creates Labour Shortages

With illegal immigrants rioting in Los Angeles, we can see the social costs of illegal immigration. But what about the economic costs?

Across the West, the open border left pushes the narrative that we need immigrants to fill labour shortages. This is false. Obviously false once you work through it.

This isn’t just true for America, it’s true for any rich country, from Canada to France to Japan. High-quality migrants are helpful, at least economically. But mass migration is pure cost.

Two New Studies Estimate 5 To 10 Self-Deportations from the US For Every Formal Deportation

Two new studies estimate we’re seeing 5 to 10 self-deportations for every formal deportation.  That comes to 500,000 to 1,000,000 self-deportations in just 4 months.

The key is cutting off the money: Illegal employers. And government handouts.

The Phantom Energy Transition Is Not What It May Seem If You’re Not Looking Hard at the Data

Thomas J Shepstone highlights a recent article by Today In Energy, which delivered some truth about the energy transition in the USA but also some misleading information.  He digs into the data to correct the article’s misleading information.

The energy transition appears to be happening rapidly, he said, but the data shows that traditional energy sources like natural gas, crude oil, and coal still dominate the market.  “Natural gas, crude oil, natural gas plant liquids, coal and nuclear account for something on the order of 35 times solar and wind combined,” he wrote.

In 2024, the United States produced a record amount of energy, with natural gas accounting for 38% of total energy production, followed by crude oil at 27% and coal at 10%.  Solar and wind energy production is minimal, accounting for only about 2.5 quadrillion Btus, which is why they are often charted separately or combined with other renewable sources like biomass, geothermal and hydro to make their impact seem more noticeable.

Wind and Solar Power: Old, Uneconomic, Government Dependent

Despite over a century of development and numerous government subsidies, solar and wind power remain uncompetitive with traditional energy sources like hydrocarbons, which are dense, plentiful and reliable.

The US government has provided repeated tax subsidies and extensions to support the solar and wind industries, with solar receiving 15 extensions of its “temporary” programme and wind power’s Renewable Energy Production Tax Credit being extended 12 times.

“Wind and solar energy are dilute, intermittent, fragile, surface-intensive, transmission-extensive, and government-dependent. End-of-life disposal issues remain. Compare this to the sun’s work over the ages, fossil fuels. Oil, gas, and coal replaced the 100 per cent market share of renewables centuries ago for good reason,” Robert Bradley wrote.

If You’re Thinking of Buying an EV: More EV Fires and 10 Other Reasons To Stay Away From Battery EVs

The article includes an instructive 6-minute video examining the specific nature of the risk associated with an EV battery fire.  “There’s nothing pretty about your car turning into a flamethrower!”

The only thing worse than an EV car is an EV bus. They cost about twice as much as a diesel bus – about a million dollars, have less range, and are more vulnerable to hot or cold weather. But when one of them catches on fire, it’s a terrible thing – especially if they are close to anything else.

Book Review: The Deep State Goes Viral by Debbie Lerman

Catherine Austin Fitts offers her summary of the book ‘The Deep State Goes Viral’.

The book investigates the US covid pandemic response, revealing it as a military-intelligence operation with little connection to health, medicine, and science.

Lerman’s research raises unanswered questions about the operation, including who was in charge, the goals of the operation and the true purpose of mRNA technology.  It documents the divergence between medical reality and the implementation of pandemic policies, which had devastating consequences, including injuries, deaths, and economic plunder.

“We know that the G7 central bankers reviewed the plan for the Going Direct Reset in August 2019 – and their remarkable expansion of the money supply began that fall. It is clear to me that the deflationary effects of pandemic policies not only delayed the inflationary impact of this financial reset but provided attractive conditions for plunder on Main Street,” Austin Fitts wrote.

The NHS Sinkhole

The UK Chancellor will pour another £29 billion into the national Health Service (“NHS”), which is failing the public in a significant way.  The billions involved in the latest attempt to plug the National Health Service sinkhole made the authors of Trust the Evidence giddy.

“The problem is so crass that even the current crop of journalists can report it. From rock-bottom satisfaction to massive waiting lists, to dwindling beds and crumbling infrastructure, to the steady increase in “senior managers” and the projected spend, elevating the NHS to the status of a European economy bigger than Greece and soon to be bigger than Portugal,” they said.

Court in the United States Legalises Murder By Hospital

On Thursday, it was reported that Grace Schara lost their case as the jury sided with the hospital.  Many expert witnesses testified that Grace had been killed by the hospital’s protocols. Despite this, they got away with murder.

CIA Releases 1,450 Pages on Senator Robert F. Kennedy’s Assassination

On 12 June, the US Central Intelligence Agency released 54 declassified documents related to Senator Robert F. Kennedy’s 1968 assassination. The documents are available online at cia.gov and archives.gov/rfk.

“700 Indian Engineers Posed as AI”: The London Startup That Took Microsoft for a Ride

Builder.ai, once promoted as a groundbreaking AI startup backed by Microsoft, has gone bankrupt amid revelations that its no-code development platform relied on 700 human engineers in India, not AI.

The company claimed its platform was powered by an AI assistant named “Natasha” that could assemble software applications, but reports have shown that customer requests were manually handled by developers.

Builder.ai Did Not “Fake AI With 700 Engineers”

According to Gergely Orosz, the claim that Builder.ai used 700 engineers in India to fake AI is untrue, as confirmed by engineers who worked at the company.

Builder.ai actually built a code generator platform called Natasha, which used Large Language Models (“LLMs”) like GPT and Claude to generate code.

The company had a team of around 15 engineers working on Natasha, and a larger team of outsourced developers (around 500-1,000) who worked on client apps.  These developers were based in countries such as Vietnam, Romania, Ukraine, Poland and others, as well as India, which may be the origin of the “700 developers in India” claim.

Builder.ai’s demise was due to allegations of accounting fraud, which led to lenders withdrawing their capital and the company’s eventual bankruptcy.
