Shredded 63 Year Old Man Shares Why He Has Been Raw Vegan For 27 Years

Shredded 63 Year Old Man Shares Why He Has Been Raw Vegan For 27 Years

And note, this isn’t meant to be a scientific rundown, but instead a look at our own life experiences for a moment and to reflect. Have you ever thought about the fact that our baseline for measurement as to what ‘healthy’ is may be totally out of whack? Think for a moment. Let’s say we believed vitality looked like the average human today. When we go to study those humans, what they eat, what blood pressure is like, how organs function and so forth, it is all based on the baseline understanding we generated from the testing of those average bodies. We then use that data to compare everything else we know about health to those baselines. But what if vitality looked like something completely different than what we know now? After all, you don’t know what you don’t know, and until you feel incredible, you wouldn’t truly know you could feel so good. This is a feeling I have had many times in my health focused journey of the last 10 years and consistently I am mind blown as to how good I can feel.

There are vicious debates online about what we should be eating, how we should look, and what the right human diet is. In 10 years I have come to one conclusion from all of this: we’re confused about health and confused about how we think humans should function. Not only that, but we are getting sicker and are consistently feeling worse. Why? Why are heart disease, diabetes and obesity the biggest causes of death in our modern world? Because we live under immense stress and we consume diets that don’t support vitality in our body. Sure, recent popular steps in fasting, ketogenic diets and so forth have helped to reduce foods that don’t work well in the human body, but do we truly still thrive on meat? High fat diets? Dairy?! I don’t believe we do, and while there is some science to prove this, I believe the proof is in the pudding. You see, the challenge with any diet type is most people don’t truly live it.

They say they tried one thing or another but often times did it in a very unhealthy way or didn’t perform it correctly. Thus their experience of it and feedback about it isn’t accurate. On the other hand, there are people who approach different diet types with care, vigilance and an open mind, and they succeed very well. This article isn’t meant to be a scientific rundown on what you should do with your diet, it’s instead a stop and think moment. How does your body actually feel? How do you actually feel on a daily basis mentally and emotionally given the foods you eat? I feel sometimes we need to be less concerned about what everyone else is saying, and instead be more in tune with how we actually feel and what our bodies truly want. Now lets move onto this great interview with a man who has been raw vegan for 27 years, John Rose. It’s a great perspective on what health can look like. All this is about is reflection, that’s all. .
