Snowden Gearing Up? “It’s Time” He Says In A Very Mysterious Tweet

. We’ve been warned by many about this topic, including Edward Snowden. Edward Snowden is an American computer professional, former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) employee, and former contractor for the United States government. In 2013, he leaked classified information from the National Security Agency (NSA) without prior authorization. This information revealed a plethora of global surveillance programs. Many of them were run by the NSA and the Five Eyes Intelligence Alliance with the cooperation of telecommunication companies and European governments. In 2014, Snowden made an unexpected appearance at a TED conference in Vancouver, Canada, via satellite robot, where he emphasized that there is still a lot of reporting to be done. He discussed more in-depth how the NSA tricks companies into building backdoors into their systems that make data vulnerable to hackers across the world. “Is it really terrorism that we’re stopping? I say no,” Snowden explained. “The bottom line is that terrorism [...] has always been a cover for actions. Terrorism evokes an emotional response.” This makes it even more intriguing that the famous whistleblower just issued a mysterious call for former colleagues to reconnect with him this past Wednesday, tweeting to his more than 2 million followers that “It’s time.” Snowden, who has been living in exile in Russia since leaking the valuable information in 2013, has previously said that he would only return to the US under one condition: he is granted a fair trial and the choice to argue his case before a jury in regards to the charges he faces under the Espionage Act. “Did you work with me? Have we talked since 2013? Please recontact me securely, or talk to @bartongellman. It’s time,” Snowden’s mysterious tweet said. He also quoted a tweet by journalist and author Barton Gellman, who is currently writing about Snowden’s time working in the intelligence community in order to “tell it truthfully.” I’m writing a book for Penguin Press called DARK MIRROR: Edward Snowden and the American Surveillance State.
