The Fur Industry In 60 Seconds Flat
The way we treat animals on this planet is truly barbaric and horrifying, but things are changing.
As human beings, all of us share the same light, the same compassion, and it can be sparked anytime in any individual.
The key to change is for us to be the change. In order for us to stop the demand for animal products, we must stop using them. Workers that make their living through killing these animals and manufacturing these products have to stop doing what they’re doing. One thing is certain, we will not remain silent about the screams and cries that go unheard, all for our materialistic wants that many of us seem to think that we need. Approximately 10 billions animals are raised and killed just for food alone, and that’s only in the United States. As far as fur goes, every single fur coat and bit of trim has caused an animal a tremendous amount of suffering and death, regardless of whether it came from an animal on a fur farm or one who was trapped in the wild. More than half of the fur in the U.S. comes from China. Millions of dogs and cats are often skinned alive for their fur. “Chinese fur is often deliberately mislabeled, so if you wear any fur, there’s no way of knowing for sure whose skin you’re in. In Canada where I live, tens of thousands of baby harp seals are shot and repeatedly beaten. Hundreds of black bears are also shot or caught in traps left to suffer so that their skins can be used to make the ceremonial hats worm by Queen Elizabeth II’s Five Guards’ Regiments. I used to be conflicted about sharing this stuff. So much so that I won’t even watch the video I am posting in this article. Over the course of winter here in Canada, I have seen many people wear fur coats, or coats that have some fur on them. Every time that I’ve seen this, I always wondered to myself “how could you do that?” I came to the conclusion that they really might not know, and what good does it do for me to remain silent and not speak for those who do not have a voice and suffer everyday? Our world is going through a transition, it’s becoming clear that the majority of people who watch this video, who become aware that this is actually happening, do not desire it at all. We have no right to do this. “The time will come when humans such as I will look upon the murder of animals as they now look on the murder of men.” – Leonardo da Vinci “If a group of beings from another planet were to land on Earth – beings who considered themselves as superior to you as you feel yourself to be to other animals – would you concede them the rights over you that you assume over other animals?” – George Bernard Shaw So here it is, from PETA. I am sure it’s extremely graphic. If you don’t know, now you know.Take action and don’t wear fur.
