The Lie We Live: A Video Encapsulating Everything That’s Wrong With Our Planet

It really makes you stop to consider the type of experience we’ve created for ourselves on the planet. Clearly, it’s not one that can sustain itself (and I don’t think that this is much of a secret), and it’s not one that is resonating with the majority of people on our planet. Unless we make some big shifts in the way we think and act, humans probably won’t be around much longer.
The detrimental impact we have had on the planet is perhaps most evident when we look at species extinction. Vertebrates (which include mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish) are disappearing at a rate 114 times quicker than normal.
There are several causes for this, one of which is industrial agriculture. We clear an acre of land every second to graze animals and grow their food crops. And did you know that factory farming is the number one cause of global greenhouse gas emissions? These are just a few of many examples that plague our planet today. Don’t get me wrong, Earth is beautiful, but we can’t turn a blind eye to what is not. We are all connected, if one person is hurting we are all hurting. What’s even more frustrating is our potential as a human race to move beyond these experiences, we are capable of so much, What we are doing here makes absolutely no sense, and for years the masses have not really paid attention, which is why we are now in this mess.
The information in the previous paragraph is just one example of how our actions have led to the problems we now face, but there are numerous examples of issues that need our attention — ranging from health, education, finance, energy, education, and more — and the video does a great job of addressing them all. Hopefully it gives you something to think about, and if you think it paints a negative picture, you didn’t watch the whole thing. .
