Stopping In Your Tracks

Ever had the feeling that, where you are right now, the space you occupy or the experience you are having...

Stopping In Your Tracks

has been had before? I am not talking about Deja-vu, I mean seriously experienced the same thing perhaps under different circumstances, or with different people? This realization has and is becoming more common around me. People are waking up to the idea that regardless of appearences, where they currently find themselves is nothing more then a ‘re-configuration’ of where they have been, as if they have been walking in a large circle.

There relationships all reflect a common ‘mis-perception’ and all have ended badly. Or they just can’t seem to hold down a job for more then 3 months. Or They still hate their parents. Regardless of the OUTWARD manifestation, the true issue lies within.

There has grown a ‘blind spot’ in their consciousness. It comes from a combination of various elements, including living life in the fast lane, or indulging in empty desires that act only to lead you away from your inner truths... or to dull the pain instead of healing it. It never fails. To determine the health of a persons inner-world, simply observe the balance found in their outer world. Both are one and the same and are deeply connected. This blind spot exists in us all, and from time to time becomes more of an issue then we’d like. Its this blind spot that causes us to react, not choose. It causes us to fear, rather then love. It pulls us apart from each other, instead of meshing us as one. Simply, this blindness is nothing more then a moment of weakness. Like so many moments, it is fleeting and very subtle. And only with the application of presence, conscious presence can we learn to not only eliminate this ‘blindness’ within our own consciousness, but learn to spot it in others and help bring awareness back to their own consciousness. This process or practice is something I like to call “Stopping in your Tracks”. Now, I use these words quite purposefully only because it was such imagery that this epiphany came to me. Now a whole lot of us live our lives pretty much following the tracks of those who walked before us. We do this, quite literally, out of laziness or fear. Laziness because we notice it works for others so why bother doing it another way, and fear because ridicule does not bring about the best feelings and failure has been bred into our minds as being a social “No-No”. So, on a cultural level we find the mistakes of our predecessors becoming our own mistakes only to pass it on to our children and so on and so forth. This has been going on for some time now, and has only changed in slight degree’s over the course of our history. Considering we are reaching a very interesting point in our lives and in our history as a species, its very important to learn to break free from blindly walking the paths that many of us may feel is the only option open to us.

There are very powerful tools at our disposable, and through their simple utilization we can quite literally “Re-Create” our experience of life into something much more meaningful and serene. The first and most important step in this process is to first realize that you are in-fact, walking in a circle. Picture yourself walking the face of the moon, leaving your prints in the dirt, and never changing your velocity. Eventually, your going to be walking in the same prints you left when you began, and thus re-creating the same experience over again. As soon as you become conscious of what is really going on, you have already taken a step in a different direction. Your path has changed and all because of presence and awareness of the path itself. This is the essence of the awakening and what will drive you through a life of peace and acceptance and conscios choice. From here, you will learn to be without doing, to live without suffering and to love without Fear. Namaste Grimm .
