These 3 Women Represent The Last Living People Born In The 1800s

A post that’s been floating around the internet for quite some time now, showing 5 women who represent the last living people born in the 1800’s, can be a useful tool for providing people with some food for thought. Unfortunately, two of these women recently passed away, but their story is, nevertheless, a wonderful thing to share, since it encourages readers to do some critical thinking – something we could all engage in a little more often. It seems as if the majority of us are so busy working, paying bills, and doing what we need to do to provide ourselves with the necessities of life, that contemplation and critical thought regarding the current human experience does not happen as much as it should. But things are changing. People are beginning to “wake up” and actually question the world they see around them. We have created a world where people are suffering, where not everyone has their basic needs met, despite the fact that we have the resources to create a world in which everybody can thrive. Our potential as one human race is literally limitless, something we have yet to realize. This is a great post to share as again, it can encourage one to ponder just how far we’ve come and how much progress we have made. On the other hand, it’s useful for shedding light on how big of a step we have taken in the wrong direction as well. Our planet continues to be stripped of its natural resources at an alarming rate, the world has never been as sick as it is now, our minds are heavily influenced and programmed from mass marketing and corporate greed, we still experience war, and we all carry on with our daily lives as if everything is okay.

The worst part about it is that many actually think there is nothing we can do about it. “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead The way to global change is not to turn a blind eye to the atrocities that are commited on this planet every single day. Sure, there are some great things about our planet, and our species, but there is much that does not resonate with the majority of people. You wouldn’t turn a blind eye to someone who is being beaten or raped, would you? Planet Earth is being beaten and raped, and there is nothing wrong spending your life trying to make it a better place. Whether you are an activist, a volunteer, or someone who works to create awareness – there are a countless number of ways you can help to change the world. It starts with finding your inner peace, treating others how you would like to be treated, and taking things a little less seriously. From that place of peace, you are already making a great impact, and if you really want to spark some change – taking action from that place of peace, in whatever form, will no doubt make an even bigger difference.

There is always a step you can take, there is always someone you can help, and there is always something you can do. Follow your heart and let go of the fear, the world needs more people doing what they love instead of being forced into something they don’t want to do. Don’t be so focused on the end result, the joy lies within the journey. It’s interesting to think about what all of these women have probably been through – from experiences within their own lives to watching the world change at a rapid pace through different stages of human history. Susannah Mushatt Jones was born July 6th, 1899. She is a resident of New York and is currently 115 years old. Emma Morano is the oldest living person in Italy. Born on November 29th 1899, she is now 115 years old. Jeralean Talley was born on May 23 1899, she is 115 years old and currently the world’s oldest living person. .
