Islamo-communism is used by Islamists to gain power – and then they turn on the communists

We have tagged this article as as it imposes a serious spin on the topic.
If not more explanation provided, this article is included as propaganda because it shows clear manufacture from a government controlled dialectic, where a topic is misdirected by some actors in order to mislead people during early stages of a narrative.

Younes Sadaghiani grew up in Iran and has seen firsthand how the Islamic regime has poisoned Persian culture.  He believes the Middle East is now at a turning point, with many countries in the region like the UAE and Saudi Arabia taking a softer approach to the Muslim faith.

Drawing from his personal experiences and understanding of the Islamification of Iran, Sadaghiani highlights how a similar process is occurring in the UK. One key indicator of this trend is communists collaborating with Islamists who are pursuing power.

Unfortunately for the leftists, once the Islamists achieve power, they turn against the communists, as evidenced in Iran after the Islamic Revolution, when many communists were executed by the then newly installed Islamic Republic.

On Sunday, Younes Sadaghiani joined the Liam Tuffs’ podcast to discuss Islamism in Iran and Britain.  Sadaghiani is a political analyst who has a diverse background.  He has studied politics, worked in various fields and even done some acting before starting to create videos about politics and Islam, which eventually went viral.  His early life was spent in Iran and he moved to the UK with his family when he was 13 years old.

Sadaghiani explained that Iran was once a modern and democratic country, similar to Paris, where women had the freedom to wear what they wanted and people could enjoy various activities like skiing, but now it lacks democracy and has strict punishments for certain actions.

There’s no democracy in Iran,” Sadaghiani said. “In Iran, if you go and protest, they will shoot you in the head … If you drink alcohol, they’ll lash you; 10 lashes if you drink alcohol. Don’t wear a headscarf? They lash you. 60% of Iranians are not Muslim anymore. They’ve lived under the Islamic Republic. They’ve seen how bad things are. People are starting to reject it.”

Sadaghiani warned that people in Europe are starting to lose their identity as Islamic extremists are more prevalent in cities like London than in some Middle Eastern cities.  “There are more Islamic extremists in London than there are in Tehran. Europe is losing this identity,” he said.

He also said there are more slaves in Africa now than during the peak of the transatlantic slave trade, and some people use religion as a cover for their psychopathic tendencies.

The following are some highlights from the video above, to which we have added some resources for context.

History of Iran and the Islamic Revolution

Iran was once a very liberal (free) and popular destination, known as the Paris of the Middle East, where women could wear what they wanted and there were beaches and ski resorts, but this changed after the Iranian Islamic Revolution of 1979.

The Shah of Iran took control of the country’s natural resources.  “The British and the Americans didn’t like it.  The Carter administration, specifically, the left-wingers in America, not all of America, the deep state, didn’t like what the Shah was doing,” Sadaghiani said.  The Shah’s actions, including increasing the price of oil and creating OPEC, were seen as a threat by the British and Americans, who were worried about Iran potentially becoming communist due to its border with the Soviet Union.

So, the UK and the USA funded Islamic clerics in Iran who were against the Shah, such as Ayatollah Khomeini.  Khomeini used the funding from the UK and USA to gain power, but then double-crossed the UK and USA by joining forces with the communists to cause a revolution and, once the Islamists were in power, killed the communists and Marxists who had helped him.

“He used the Americans, he used the British, he used the communists to get him to power and then, once he got into power, he killed them all or stormed the [US embassy in Tehran],” Sadaghiani said.

It demonstrates how external funding and support can be used to gain power, only to be turned against the original backers.

Impact of the Islamic Republic on Iran

The Iranian people initially supported the Islamic Republic after the revolution, but it resulted in 46 years of oppression for Iranians.  Now, many have turned against the Islamic Republic.  After 46 years of showing their true character, “right now, no one likes the Islamic Republic,” Sadaghiani said.  So much so that some are even rejecting Islam altogether, as evidenced by a recent poll that found 60% of Iranians are no longer Muslim.

During the 1980s, a prolonged military conflict between Iran and Iraq was fought, known as the Iran-Iraq War. The war was seen as a blessing by Khomeini, as he saw it as a vehicle through which to gain deeper and lasting support for the Islamic Republic.  He encouraged men to fight for their country in an attempt to gain intergenerational support from families who had lost loved ones in the war, thereby psychologically binding them to the regime.

The Islamic Republic is the biggest state sponsor of terrorism in the world.  It supports groups like Hamas and Hezbollah.  “The fact that they’re not assigned as a terrorist organisation, I just don’t understand it,” Sadaghiani said. “Maybe it’s because they’re attached to a governing state or governing body.”

The Islamic Republic is an oppressive regime that the Iranian people are rejecting, Sadaghiani said and reiterated how the oppressive Islamic regime is causing people to turn away from Islam.

“[Iranians have] lived under the Islamic Republic and they’ve seen how bad things are and how they force Islam onto people. People are starting to reject it. And that’s why Iranians have a very unique perspective on this Israel thing. The majority of Iranians, in my opinion, from what I’ve seen, are actually pro-Israel because we’ve lived under the Islamic Republic. We know what oppression is. We know what living under Hamas is like,”  Sadaghiani said.

Adding, “]People born in the UK say], ‘free Palestine’. Yeah, free Palestine from Hamas. Free Iran from the Islamic Republic. Free Lebanon from Hezbollah. Israel is not the enemy here.”

Persian Culture and Identity

The Persian people are a distinct ethnic group, known for being fun, open-minded, charismatic and energetic.  Persians are not Arabs. “Persians and Arabs are two completely different races,” Sadaghiani explained.

Persians are Aryans, “that’s why they call us Iran,” with a cultural heritage closer to Turkey and Europe.  The best conceptualisation of who the Persians are, Sadaghiani said, is to describe them as a mixture of Russian and Arabic, with some Indian.

The Persian religion is Zoroastrianism, which originated in Iran 2,500 years ago.  “We were not Muslim.  Islam is something that was imposed on Iranians.”

The Persian language is distinct from Arabic.  Iran is one of the only two countries that did not change its language to Arabic after being conquered, with the other being Spain.  “Any other country that was invaded by the Arabs, they’re speaking Arabic now. And that just shows you that fundamentally, Persians were not Muslims and Persians are not Arabs,” he said.

Iranians Oppose the Islamic Republic Regime

It is estimated that only 10% to 20% of the people in Iran support the Islamic Republic, say 15%, while 85% are against it. But the wealth, power and military are controlled by the 15% who support the regime.

The Islamic Republic is known for its brutal punishments, including the death penalty, lashings for drinking alcohol or not wearing a headscarf.  There’s no democracy in Iran; for example, public protests are met with violence.  “In Iran, if you go and protest, they’ll shoot you in the head just like that. Just like that. So, it’s not a joke. But the fact that people still do it shows how courageous they are,” Sadaghiani said.

Iran is a rich country with significant resources, including oil, gas and precious metals; it could be the new Dubai. Actually, “better than Dubai, I would say,” he said.  But the government’s incompetence and, possibly, intentional efforts to keep the people oppressed have led to a lack of basic necessities like gas, electricity and water.

US Mistakes in Dealing With the Islamic Republic

The US, under President Donald Trump, made a strategic mistake by not finishing the job of addressing Iran’s uranium enrichment programme.  “Trump should have just finished the job. I don’t know why he didn’t finish the job because the more time you give to the Islamic Republic, they will probably recoup[erate] and they’ll be back at it in two to three years,” Sadaghiani said.

He feels that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (“IRGC”) should have been completely taken out by Trump. But Trump was trying to avoid starting a new war because being anti-war and stopping wars was part of his election campaign, and so he was pandering to his base.  “But nobody wants a full-scale war with Iran,” Sadaghiani said.

Sadaghiani commented on Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.  The invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan was a mistake, he said.  Alternative methods, such as air strikes, could have been used to achieve the desired goals.  It is also not necessary to have foreign military boots on the ground in Iran. “I do not want a single foreign military boot in Iran. What I want is strategic targeting of IRGC military bases, nuclear sites – something that Israel has done very well,” he said.

Adding, “Apparently, Israel was on its way, Netanyahu was on their way to kill Khamenei, but then Trump stopped them. He made a mistake. “  You can’t negotiate with terrorists.  “There’s no deal to be made with the Islamic Republic.  If you try and make a deal with them, they’ll probably recoup. You cannot expect behaviour change.”

Understanding Islam and Its Practices

The Iranian Grand Ayatollah recently issued a fatwa on Trump, calling on “Muslims of the world” to murder him.  A fatwa is a concept in Islam where an imam, a high-ranking Islamic cleric, issues a decree calling for the death of someone deemed an enemy of Islam.

“A fatwa is a ridiculous concept just like majority of Islam … basically [imams] put a fatwa on someone saying that, ‘oh this guy is a sinner hence why we should kill him’ … One imam can give a fatwa and then the next imam can come and say, ‘oh no that’s void’,” Sadaghiani explained.  “So, a fatwa is, basically, someone that they deem is the enemy of Islam.”

Trump has been issued a fatwa due to his actions against the Islamic Republic.  In their minds, Trump has committed the sin of striking an Iranian military base.  Sadaghiani believes the fatwa won’t be carried out.  You have to stand up to bullies, he said, including the Islamic Republic, rather than trying to pander to them.

In Iranian schools, students are taught to hate Israel, the United States, the United Kingdom and the rest of the West from a young age.  They are brainwashed with Islamic ideology.

Criticism of Anti-Jewish Rhetoric

There has been a surge in Jew hatred in the UK and the West in general.   “What’s happening in the West now is what happened in Iran in the 1970s,” Sadaghiani said.

“Because [people in the West] have so much freedom and because [Westerners] can say whatever [they] want and because [they] haven’t lived under the Islamic Republic, [they] haven’t lived under Hamas, [they] don’t know what [they’re] talking about.”

The anti-Jewish mindset in the West feeds off left-wing ideology and the “woke mind virus” that has infected the West.  The “woke mind virus” is a communist or Marxist doctrine that categorises people as either oppressors or oppressed, leading to misconceptions about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.  These “pro-Palestinians” believe “Palestinians” are oppressed by Israel, but they’re not, “they’re oppressed by their own people,” he said.

The biggest problem in Iran is not external forces like America or Britain; it’s the Islamic Republic.  The Iranian people are oppressed by their own government, which is why some people support Israel’s actions against the Islamic Republic.

“I support Israel in their strikes against the Islamic Republic because the people themselves can’t do it.  They’ve tried dozens of times and they just shoot their people, and then people don’t have weaponry.  Israel is the only one that actually managed to get Khamenei, the rat, to go and hide in a bunker.  Israel is the only one that managed to kill IRGC members – these are the people oppressing Iran.”

“I see the fall of the West before my eyes,” he said. The patterns Sadaghiani recognises that are similar to those seen in Iran, include virtue signalling, lack of knowledge about important issues and the labelling of criticism as Islamophobic.  “The patterns are the ‘woke mind virus’.  It starts with lying to society as a whole … ‘there’s 100 different genders’ … ‘black lives matter’ … it’s the Marxist doctrine ideology.”

The left-wing ideology has resentment towards people at the top of a hierarchy.  It is attempting to flip this hierarchy upside down.  For example, it focuses on the idea of taxing the rich to give to the poor rather than encouraging hard work to achieve success.

The unholy alliance between communists and Islamists in the UK is similar to the communists helping the Islamists gain power in Iran and what happened in the 1979 Iranian Islamic Revolution.

Contrary to what is seen on TikTok videos, it is Hamas that has oppressed the people in Gaza.  The leaders of Hamas have misused funds, such as the $20 billion given to them in 2005, and instead of building infrastructure, they built tunnels and launched rockets at Israel.  “They’re shooting rockets towards Israel and you expect Israel not to react?” he said.  Every single war with Israel was started by the Arab nations, Sadaghiani said, “but then Israel beats them and has to apologise for beating them.”

If you want to understand Islam, “go and read the Quran … go and look at the life of Muhammad,” he said.  The Quran is full of anti-semitism.  Some parts of Islam are a “bad idea” and so should be openly criticised, not censored as “Islamophobia.”   It is an extremely militant religion with a lot of calls to action: “all you have to do is look at the life of Muhammad.”  Muhammad’s life was marked by violence.  He killed thousands of people, which contradicts the notion that true Islam is a beautiful and peaceful religion.

The irony of “Queers for Palestine” is not lost on Sadaghiani.  Gay people are killed in Gaza for being gay, so the Queers for Palestine movement is advocating for the execution of gay people.  “I encourage all these Queers for Palestine to go and live in Gaza for a year. See if you’re alive by the end of the year,” he said

Signs of Islamist Takeover

As we are currently witnessing in the UK, in the build-up to the Iranian Islamic Revolution, the Islamists teamed up with the communists.  The first people this unholy alliance attacked were those who were supportive of the Shah.  They murdered top government officials, military leaders and anyone affiliated with the previous regime, without interrogation or trial.

The Islamo-communist thugs executed highly educated and skilled people, such as the head of the equivalent of the Royal Air Force (“RAF”), who was ranked as one of the best pilots in the world. “They hanged him,” Sadaghiani noted.

And then the Islamists targeted the communists, killing them.  “Even if you had, for example, a book of Marx at your house, [if] they found that book, your life was in danger,” he said.

Then the restriction of freedoms began, starting with women having to wear the hijab, and over the years, slowly but surely, the regime’s control has been incrementally imposed.  Initially, to get the public onside with the regime, it promised free housing and electricity – but the opposite has occurred.

We are seeing the same happen in the UK, Sadaghiani pointed out.  “Look at what the Keir Starmer government is doing, slowly but surely trying to take your freedom of speech away. So, this is the pattern.”

What those assisting the Islamists in the UK need to understand is that they are second or third in line for extermination; Islamists will turn on them should they ever get into power.  Although the context in the UK is slightly different from Iran, there is still cause for concern, particularly with leaders like London Mayor Sadiq Khan, who hides behind accusations of Islamophobia when criticised.  Left-wing and communist activists in Britain who are assisting Islamists would be advised to recognise the consequences of their actions and the importance of preserving freedom of speech. Accusations of “Islamophobia” is not an excuse for censorship.

Some corporate media are also attempting to manipulate the public into tilting towards Islam.  The subtle promotion of Islamist ideology through media, such as a TV presenter wearing an Islamic shirt, has a subconscious effect on people’s perceptions and psychology, and contributes to incremental changes in society towards, for example, Islamic dress codes.

Advice For Those Caught Up In Islamo-Communism

To understand the reality of radical ideologies, Sadaghiani suggests that people live in a country associated with Islam, such as Iran, Gaza or Lebanon, or a communist country for a year to gain firsthand experience.

Leftists are “virtue-signalling idiots” who use empathy as a veil to hide their own pathological hatreds, such as accusing others of being racist or sexist which is a form of psychological projection. “It’s the woke mind virus,” he said.

Sadaghiani believes the chance of a homegrown terrorist attack is very high.  He shared a personal anecdote.  He attended Westminster City School in London with two boys who later became terrorists.  They were jailed for trying to kill a police officer after receiving training from ISIS in Iraq.  These boys were not stupid – they had been brainwashed by radical Islamic ideology.

Related: British Jihadi dubbed ‘the Surgeon’ led gang plotting drive-by shootings of police officers and soldiers in the first terror plot to be funded and directed by ISIS from Syria, Daily Mail, 23 April 2016

When Sadaghiani first came to the UK, he noticed that there was a higher concentration of Islamic extremists in London than in Tehran. “Even though [the people in Tehran are] being brainwashed day-to-day, the people in Iran are less radical than the people you see in London,” he said.

Executions in Iran Increase

In the first four months of 2025, there has been a 75% increase in executions in Iran.  “Iran is one of the top executioners in the world,” Sadaghiani said, and the increase is due to people showing support for Israel, as perceived by the regime.  In modern-day Iran, showing support for Israel can result in being charged with cooperating with a foreign enemy entity, which is punishable by death.

Iran’s dictatorship executes anyone perceived as a threat to the regime, including those who show support for Israel.  “Because of what happened with Israel, anyone who showed any support towards Israel within Iran, or anyone who showed even someone having an Israeli flag in their home, for example, they would get arrested and executed,” he said.  “That’s the conditions [people are] living under. People don’t understand because [they] have so much freedom in the West. [But] that is modern-day Iran.”

When it comes to executing political prisoners, the Islamic Republic has form.  Ebrahim Raisi, the former head of the courts in Iran, was known as the “butcher of Tehran” due to his role in signing off on the executions of tens of thousands of political prisoners, including those with minor offences, during the 1980s.  He later became President of Iran before dying in a helicopter crash last year.

To prevent the rise of Islamism in the West, especially considering the Islamo-communist alliance, it is essential to protect freedom of speech, challenge bad ideas and engage in open conversations.

Some Shocking Islamic Beliefs

The Hadiths are Islamic laws that were introduced after the Quran.  They are considered a central source of Islamic theology and law, second only to the Quran in importance.  The Haiths serve as a critical source for understanding and applying Sharia, the Islamic legal system.  However, in 2023, Saudi Arabia’s Muhammad bin Salman declared that most Hadiths are void, marking a significant shift in the interpretation of Islamic law.  Saudi Arabia is the birthplace of Islam.

There are Hadiths attributed to Muhammad, and there are Hadiths from later Islamic figures such as the Ali, Hasan, Hussein and Sahih Bukhari, which contain some ridiculous and shocking statements.   Sadaghiani didn’t want to go into too many details because “they’re just so ridiculous.”

For example, Ruhollah Khomeini, the Ayatollah of Iran, wrote the book ‘Tahrir al-Wasilah’.  In it, he speaks about raping animals and selling their meat to non-Muslims.  “He wrote in a book that if you rape a camel or if you rape a goat, then you cannot sell the meat to other Muslims because the meat is haram (forbidden for consumption). But you can sell it to non-Muslims.  Imagine what kind of mind … who even thinks about f**king a goat and then selling the meat to someone else? … And this is the guy that became the Ayatollah,” Sadaghiani said, astounded.

He noted that paedophilia is acceptable to Islamists.  The Ayatollah of Iran also made statements about marrying someone under 9 years old, but not having sex with them until they start their period, and that touching an infant by accident and getting horny is not considered paedophilia. “Muhammad married a 9-year-old as well,” Sadaghiani said.

The Ayatollah also suggested that female prisoners who are virgins should be raped before being hanged, so they do not go to heaven.

In Iran, the law is that if you are gay, depending on whether you are on the giving or receiving end of the sexual act, you will get 10 years in jail or the death penalty.  “That’s the law. That’s actually the law,” Sadaghiani said.  “If you’re the one penetrating, you go to jail for 10 years. If you’re the one receiving it, your punishment is death.”

And, because it’s “Islamophobic,” they want to stop us criticising these beliefs and practices?!

Iran Funds Hamas to Stop Abraham Accords

The Abraham Accords, proposed by Donald Trump, aim to normalise relations between Arab countries and Israel.  Countries such as Bahrain have signed the agreement and Saudi Arabia “was very close to signing it.”  The Accords are an example of efforts to improve relations between different countries in the region, but their implications and effects are not fully understood by everyone.

The normalisation of relations between Arab countries and Israel would have significant implications, including the isolation of Iran, and this was a potential outcome of the Abrahamic Accords, which were not followed through with by Joe Biden.

Iran’s response to the potential normalisation of relations was to fund Hamas to carry out attacks on Israel on 7 October 2023, prompting a retaliation from Israel and a global outcry against Israel.

Mohammad bin Salman has expressed Saudi Arabia’s desire to normalise relations with Israel but has stated that Hamas must be eliminated first, indicating that they do not support the Islamic Republic or Hamas.

“This is what the virtue signalling idiots [in the UK] don’t understand. The Arab leaders don’t like Hamas. The Arab leaders don’t like the Islamic Republic. So, when you come and wave your Queers for Palestine flag, they’re just laughing at you because you don’t understand it. You’re just virtue signalling.  And you think they’re oppressed and Israel has nothing better to do than to kill innocent children. It’s not true,” Sadaghiani said.

Zionism and the Concept of Palestine

The concept of Zionism is often misunderstood.  It simply means that Jewish people are entitled to a state, which is a reasonable expectation given their history and the fact that Israel is their holy land.

“The first war that ever happened between the Israelis and the Arabs, the Arabs started it. They agreed to give that part of the land to the Jews. Then they didn’t like it, they started attacking and lose.  Attack, lose. Egypt attacked them, they took half of Israel, gave it back, lose. So, every single war was started by the Arabs, Israel won it, and Israel had to apologise for winning. And I think they’re just sick of it,” Sadaghiani said.

He quoted Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of a co-founder of Hamas who ended up working for the Israelis.  Talking about Gaza, the West Bank and Israel, Yousef said, “One is a death cult [and] one is a democracy.”  Gaza and the West Bank are the death cult.

The idea of “Palestine” is a made-up identity.  The “Palestinians” living in Gaza are genetically Egyptian, and those in the West Bank are Jordanian, who speak Arabic in a Jordanian dialect and hold Jordanian birth certificates.  “So the Palestine idea is a made-up identity,” Sadaghiani said, explaining that the British Mandate for Palestine was established in 1945, but the term “Palestine” is not mentioned in the Quran, whereas “Israel” is mentioned over 40 times.  “[Palestine is] a made-up identity just to go against the Jews, just to go against Israel,” he said.

European Immigration Crisis

Sadaghiani attributes the mass immigration into Europe in part to the actions of the British, Americans and Europeans in destabilising the Middle East.

“The British, the Americans and the Europeans, they messed up the Middle East. They overthrew the Shah. Look what they gave us: 10 million Iranians had to immigrate. They went and invaded Iraq …  again, all those people from Iraq and Syria end up immigrating. Afghanistan, same thing,” he said.

To address the issue of illegal immigration, Sadaghiani suggests that countries should prioritise strong borders, while still allowing competent legal immigrants to enter and contribute to the country, provided they respect local laws and traditions.

He emphasised the importance of preserving national identity and culture and used the hypothetical situation if he were the President of Iran to make the point.

“[For example,] if I’m the president of Iran one day, I like, ‘Okay, immigrants, legal immigrants are welcome. If you’re competent, you’re welcome. But if you come to my country, you’re going to respect our laws, our traditions, our way of life’,” he said.

Instead, Europe is losing its identity and becoming an “Islamist sort of left-leaning woke communist bloc.” This needs to be stopped.  “The only way to stop that is to strengthen your borders, be proud of your history [and] don’t tell people, ‘oh, pay reparations’.”

“The first ever slave empire was the Egyptians. Egyptians were black people enslaving other black people. So, black people are the ones who started slavery. At this moment in time, we have more slaves in Africa, in Somalia and Sudan, than we did at the peak of the transatlantic slave trade. So, if you actually care about slavery, go and save the slaves today. Don’t be asking for reparations.” Sadaghiani said.

He then briefly spoke about the historical actions of empires, including the British, Roman, Egyptian and Persian, which had both positive and negative consequences.  The British Empire, for example, kickstarted world trade and abolished slavery, but also engaged in exploitative and invasive practices.  So, you can’t look at the bad while ignoring the good.

Are Rape Gangs Active in Iran?

The issue of rape gangs is unique to the UK and is not a significant problem in Iran, Sadaghiani said.  “As I said, when I came to this country, I thought people here were more extremist than back in Iran.”

He doesn’t know why that is but suggested that the weak education system and media in the UK,  which doesn’t call it out, contribute to the problem.  Tommy Robinson, for example, is a notable figure who exposed the Muslim rape gangs and was subsequently targeted instead of the perpetrators.  “They go after people who speak about the problems, not the problems themselves.”

The practice of minors sleeping with minors is, to some extent, systemic in Islam due to the example of Muhammad marrying a 9-year-old.  “So, they say, ‘Well, if the prophet can marry a 9-year-old, so can we’.  But also, there are a lot of sick people out there and they use religion as a cover for their own psychopathic tendencies” and a get-out-of-jail card.

Islamic Republic is a Threat to World Peace

There have been reports that the IRGC have threatened to strike Dubai, which is a concern for the many Brits who have moved to the city.   Sadaghiani believes Iran is threatening Dubai because Mohammad bin Salman doesn’t like Khomeini; bin Salman called Khomeini “Hitler.”

“As long as the Islamic Republic of Iran exists, there will never be peace,” Sadaghiani said.  “That’s why the Arabs don’t like them either.”  The UAE has built a thriving city in Dubai that could be destroyed if Iran were to attack.

“So, the Arabs don’t want them there. The Europeans don’t want them there anymore. The Americans don’t want them there. The Chinese don’t really want them. Nobody wants them there anymore. Nobody wants the Islamic Republic. So, if you want peace in the world, get rid of the Islamic Republic,” he said.

The Islamic Republic’s influence is also a factor in the existence of terrorist groups like Hamas and the Houthis, which receive funding from Iran.  Iran’s wealth, as the second-highest oil and gas producer in the world, enables it to fund terrorist groups while its own people suffer, making it a significant concern for global security.

Sadaghiani reiterated that the regime needs to be removed. “As long as the Islamic Republic is there, you’re going to have instability in the world. You’re going to have Hamas, you’re going to have Houthis, you’re going to get threats, you’re going to get strikes on Israel, you’re going to get you’re going to get death threats for fatwas against Trump … the Islamic Republic is a virus that needs to go.  They’re like the head of the snake that needs to be cut off.”

However, no one wants a full-scale war with Iran.  The head of the IRGC is the root of the problem and needs to be targeted, rather than engaging in a full-scale war with Iran.  At the same time, the Iranian people need to be supported to enable them to regain control of their country.  In an ideal scenario, the IRGC would be taken out and a new interim government would be established, and then a referendum held to establish what form of government the Iranians want to have.
